Slices of my polymer clay cane are applied over an hollowed-out eggshell, then baked and then sanded and polished. These eggs are incredibly smooth - and best of all - if dropped, they do not break. The clay I use is very strong and protects the eggshell underneath.  The eggs are $ 39 each.

Making decorative Polymer Clay eggs as ornaments was one of my first projects once I had learned the Millefiori Technique.

To me, Spring is the most beautiful season of the year (I do believe people should hibernate in winter!); everything comes back to life again. The eggs are my way of celebrating Spring.

It is a German tradition to have an “Easter Tree”, branches of Forsythia and/or Pussywillows decorated with eggs. It was this tradition that inspired me to create Polymer Clay Eggs, and it is this tradition that made me create eggs as hanging ornaments.

To learn some interesting facts about eggs, check out the “Background” section of my website - “About Eggs”.  Enjoy.
