The most wasted day is that in which we have not laughed. (Sebastien- Roch Chamfort)
When you are a “Crafter” or an “Artist”, you mostly work alone in your studio, and you start talking to yourself (although I heard that’s ok - but you should start to worry once you also reply to yourself :)
So for us, participating at Craft Shows really has more purposes than one - yes, we would like to sell our work, but it’s also an opportunity to exchange thoughts, ideas and stories.
When I first started showing my work to a wider audience at Craft Shows, I experienced a lot of comraderie along the way, and I enjoyed that tremendously.
Here are - in alphabetical order - links to some of my most favorite Craft Show friends who, at this point, have a website of their own:
John & Dotty Berner - Feathers & Wings Studio - Avian Wood Sculptors
Marsha Dowshen - Pottery
Angela Heithecker - HobNob-Handbags
Anthony Niglio - Dream Trader Designs - Jewelry
Christine Reilly-Carter - Collage Artist
Dana Zeck - DKZ Design - Fiber Artist
Not a craft show friend but family, I would like to point out the new website Florian Schafer Fine Photography. Flo’s website offers limited edition black and white as well as color photography, featuring vibrant color and soft black and white compositions available on a wide range of products, including framed matted prints, posters, greeting cards and more. At this point, his beautiful work is available online only.
